2nd Annual 1st Gen Trailblazer Symposium: We Are Here!

Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, 1–7 p.m.

The 1st Generation Faculty and Staff Association is a diverse and interdisciplinary community united to establish best practices for supporting the first generation community at CSU, Chico and beyond.

More than half of all California State University, Chico undergraduates identify as first-generation students, a topic that will be discussed during this second annual conference at the University, February 22-23, 2018.

The community-building symposium will take place in a number of campus venues on Thursday, 2/22 from 1 - 6 pm; and, on Friday, 2/23 from 9 am - 4 pm. Please see link for the two-day event schedule for specific program details and locations.

The University's first-generation faculty and staff are invited to this free event, as are all CSU, Chico 1st Gen students. College students are considered first-generation if neither of their parents completed a four-year university degree. We also welcome those faculty and staff on campus interested in learning more as allies to 1st generation students.
