September 12,2020: Zoom Web Backend Update: Web Client

September 5, 2020: Zoom Web Backend Update

  • Start:Saturday, September 5 at 7:00 PM
  • End: Sunday, September 6 at 1:01 PM
  • Duration: 17 hours

On Saturday, September 5th, Zoom started it scheduled update that gives the user the ability to configure external authentication for meetings and webinars. Update was completed withib 17 hours.

August 27, 2020: Zoom Cloud Recording Process Delay

  • Start:Thursday, August 27 at 12:35 PM
  • End:Wednesday, August 30 at 8:17 AM
  • Duration: 67.5 hours

On Thursday, August 27th, Zoom satus log indicated that Zoom Cloud was having recording processing delays. Venders were able to reslove the issue within 67.5 hours and backlog recordings were transcoded.

August 24, 2020: Users unable to start/join meetings

  • Start:Monday, August 24 at 5:51 AM
  • End: Monday, August 24 at 10:10 AM
  • Duration: 4.5 hours 

On Monday, August 24th, Zoom's status log indicated that some Zoom users were unable to visit the Zoom website ( and unable to start and join Zoom Meetings and Webinars. Vendor technicians reported the issue resolved approximately 4.5 hours later.

May 17, 2020: Zoom stability

  • Start: Sunday, May 17 at 6:44 AM

  • Components affected: Hosting and joining Zoom meetings

On Sunday, May 17, 2020, Zoom's status log indicated that some Zoom users may be experiencing issues hosting and joining meetings. Vendor technicians reported the issue resolved approximately 2.5 hours later.

April 2-3, 2020: Zoom cloud recording outage

  • Start: Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 9:00 PM
  • End: Friday, April 3, 2020 at 12:15 PM
  • Duration: 27 hours

The Zoom Cloud Recording Feature was disabled by Zoom by accident from 9:00pm on Thursday (4/2/2020) until 12:15pm on Friday (4/3/2020).

January 9, 2019: Slow connections to Zoom

  • Duration: 2 hours

Users attempting to navigate to the website experienced slow connections or the inability to load pages. Additionally, users attempting to connect to Zoom meetings or webinars were unable to do so.

October 24, 2018: Zoom SAML mapping update

Adding an extra row to Zoom's permission mapping so that users with a primary affiliation of "Student Active" will be able to log in.

Most students have a primary affiliation of "Student", but there is apparently a small population who are getting "Student Active", which Zoom does not recognize.

July 25, 2018: Zoom to Kaltura integration

Zoom To Kaltura Integration: Automate Kaltura ID.

We will make a change so that users do not have enter their Kaltura ID in their Zoom profile manually. SAML integration will pull the username and use it when moving their recordings to Kaltura.
