What is the status of DACA?

  • For current information on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) policy, we recommend visiting the Immigration Legal Resource Center's (ILRC) DACA Toolbox.
  • DACA renewal applications are recommended 150 days in advance of the expiration date.  Our immigration legal service partners can help.

Free Immigration Legal Services

  • Chico State students, faculty, staff, their immediate family members, and recent alumni are eligible.
  • Attorneys and paralegals are available to assist with general consultations and screenings, DACA renewals, advance parole, assistance in filling out DHS/USCIS forms, such as family-based petitions, and some removal defense situations.
  • Free consultations with our immigration legal services provider, the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA) are available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 9 am and 5 pm and can be scheduled directly through CHIRLA’s online scheduling site.  Select “General Immigration Consultation.”  At this time, appointments are virtual.
