SWE Imagineer Day

Imagineer Day is Chico State SWE's annual K-8 STEM outreach event. Every year, we bring together 200+ local students together to participate in multiple hands-on engineering labs that demonstrate basic engineering concepts. Students have the opportunity to experience fun, hands-on engineering activities, while learning how and why the things work the way they do.
The goal of Imagineer Day is to get young girls and boys interested in the engineering field. During the event, we not only discuss engineering as a subject of study and career path, but we also encourage the students to think about their own future in engineering! We aim to show the participants that STEM subjects can be fun, exciting, and more hands-on than just reading from a textbook.
