Summer 2023

Math & Engineering Bootcamp (MEB)

Success in STEM starts with a solid foundation. Join us for 11 days in July as we connect MATH concepts to your major, complete hands-on engineering and computer science projects, and get to know faculty, mentors, and peers before you start this fall.

Bootcamp Info:

  • Dates: July 5-19, Monday-Friday 9am-4:30pm
    Sessions held virtually but will feature hands-on projects and interactive sessions. Project materials will be mailed to you to participate in bootcamp activities.*
  • Cost: FREE! With $200-$400 stipend for students
  • Equipment needed: A computer with access to the internet and a webcam for virtual sessions.
  • Suggested majors: Civil, Computer, Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Advanced Manufacturing & Applied Robotics. 
  • MEB Application due: Thursday, June 1st at 5pm - MEB Participants will be notified of their bootcamp admission.
  • Projects include:
    Design, construct, and test a truss bridge
    Estimate and plan the launch of a projectile from a 3D-printed trebuchet
    Program a microprocessor to control a robot through a route with obstacles

*Due to the long delivery time needed to ship materials internationally, we cannot support students who are outside of the US during summer 2023.
