3 ECC Students Honored with Rawlins Merit Awards

Each year, Rawlins merit scholars are named in honor of Lt. Robert Merton Rawlins, who died piloting a B-29 bomber during World War II. This award is one of the highest and most prestigious awards granted on campus. Recipients are nominated and chosen based on scholarship, extracurricular activities, outstanding academic and professional accomplishments, as well as a commitment to enhancing their personal knowledge and the achievement of success in all areas of life.

This year, 3 College of ECC students were honored with Rawlins Merit Awards at an on-campus ceremony March 1st.

Brian Harris

Brian is currently completing a bachelor’s degree in mechatronic engineering, as well as a minors in computer science and computer engineering.

Yoana Guzman

Yoana is a double-major pursuing both a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a bachelor’s degree in applied physics.

Damien Bonis

Damien is a graduating senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in concrete industry management and a minor in business administration.
