MCAA selects Chico State for 2017 Emerging Chapter Grant

Chico State selected for Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) 2017 Emerging Chapter Grant.

Chico State's MCAA Student Chapter.This summer, the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) 2017 Emerging Chapter Grant was awarded to Chico State. The chapter, which has been on campus for six years has been growing and their success has been noticed nationally with this $3,000 funding boost.

Chico State's MCAA chapter engages students with industry through community service projects, annual conferences, and fundraising golf tournaments. 

The chapter plans to use the grant for chapter operations, travel costs, projects or scholarships to continue growing chapter into a strong, vibrant organization. 

Chris Souder, a Construction Management faculty member and MCAA advisor, credits student Gabe Serrato who crafted the proposal that ultimately secured the grant.
