Anita Chaudhry has come to Chico from Laramie, Wyoming where she completed her doctoral work in economics at the University of Wyoming.  She did her undergraduate work at the Lahore University of Management Sciences in Pakistan before heading off to Los Angeles in the summer of 2000 to pursue graduate studies in economics at the University of Southern California. She then spent a year and a half across the country at Storrs, Connecticut, and a second master's degree in agricultural and resource economics from the University of Connecticut. 

Anita is interested in environmental and natural resource problems especially as they relate to economic growth and development. Her doctoral work and current research interest are related to water scarcity and economic development. She has worked on research and economic development projects in India, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan. She teaches Environmental Economics and Principles of Macroeconomics.
