Areas of Concentration: International Trade, Public Health and Development Economics

Sheikh Shahnawaz teaches courses in microeconomics and international economics. His recent research has examined issues in the liberalization of trade in services, and the interaction of international trade and global public health policies. He continues to investigate topics related to the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS), Trade-related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS), and the economies of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
