Christopher Long-Callahan, who graduated in 2014 with a BA in Economics and a BS in Finance, is a registered financial services representative for Foresters Financial Services(opens in new window) in Walnut Creek, California.  Christopher enrolled at Chico State after studying business administration and management at Butte College(opens in new window) from 2009 to 2011.  He was a member of the Investment Club at Butte College.  Christopher worked as counter staff with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America(opens in new window) from 2005 – 2007.  While studying at Chico State Christopher helped support himself by working as a doorman at the Madison Bear Garden. 

Christopher is active in several community groups including the American Cancer Society and the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.  He is a volunteer for the annual Relay for Life event in Pacifica, California.  As an “avid fisherman” Chris supports organizations throughout the state that promote the restoration of watersheds.

Christopher explains that his degree in economics provides him with a good background for his current job as a financial services representative.  “The economics aspect provided me with sound understanding of markets as a whole, as well as how the factors of supply and demand affect individual companies and industries.
