Erik Sunderbruch

Erik Sunderbruch(opens in new window), who graduated in 2010 with a BA in Economics and Honors, is an export sales and analytics specialist at Sun Valley Rice, LLC(opens in new window) in Arbuckle, California.  After graduation, Erik got a job as a grain merchandiser for TRC Trading Corporation(opens in new window) in Sacramento, California.   Erik was responsible for negotiating the terms of trade for 25 to 35 million bushels of rice annually and producing a minimum of $1 million per month in gross profit according to his.  Erik manages trading risk using futures and options, and he is in charge of barge logistics.  Erik has been working for Sun Valley since 2017.

I am looking to challenge myself and grow my career with a major commodity trading firm.” 

“While much of what I do I learned on the job, having a mastery of fundamental analysis has been essential as supply and demand are driving forces that determine price discovery” Erik stated in a recent email. “As someone whose job is predicting the future price of grains, the skills I learned as an econ major have been immeasurable.”
