Keith West

Keith West  graduated with a BA in Economics in 2008 and a BS in Business with a specialty in Finance and in Accounting.  He works as a certified public accountant at Sensiba San Filippo in Pleasanton, California.  While at Chico State Keith was a member of Beta Alpha Psi, the accounting honors fraternity. 

After graduation Keith joined Jones, Henle and Schunck as a staff accountant where he worked for two years.  In 2010 Keith moved on to West Properties where he worked as an analyst for almost one year.  He has been working for Sensiba San Filippo since September of 2011. 

“I work in Sensiba San Filippo’s Audit & Assurance group as a senior auditor,” Keith stated in a recent email.  “A key part of our job is gaining an understanding our client’s business and the environment it operates in.  My economics degree provided me with the skills and toolsets to help interpret how changes in the global economy, regulations, and policies will impact a client’s business.   My economics degree also helped prepare me to take the CPA exam.  The exam is broken into four tests, one of which is Business Environment and Concepts. Between 28%-48% of that test is comprised of questions relating to economic concepts and analysis and financial management.”  (Last Updated 9/30/18)
