Leroy Elkin

Leroy Elkin(opens in new window) graduated with a BA in Economics and BS in Business Administration in 1979. Leroy earned his MBA from San Jose State University in 1990. He retired as vice-president of worldwide financial planning and analysis for Apple in 2010 and launched his career as a consultant.
Currently Leroy is a technology advisor for the Central Coast Small Business Development Center at Cabrillo College(opens in new window) in Aptos, California. He is also chair of the Fund Development Committee for Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA)(opens in new window) of Santa Cruz County and he is an active member of the Central Coast Angels(opens in new window), an organization that invests in innovative firms in the Monterey Bay Region. Leroy has invested and works with a number of local startups.
“Having an econ degree from CSUC has helped me professionally in terms of understanding the impact of global macro-economic forces on complicated supply/demand and financial forecasts and business plans,” Leroy stated in a recent LinkedIn message. “I’ve benefited personally as well in terms of understanding financial markets and economic activity related to investment and portfolio decisions.”
