Marcella Fox(opens in new window), who graduated with a BA in Economics in 2004, is Chief of Staff, Business Operations and Strategic Portfolio Planning for Global IT - Global Business Groups, Sales and Operations at Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Roseville, California. As a student at Chico State Marcella was a member of the Pre-Law Society(opens in new window), CAVE(opens in new window) and the Economics Club.
After graduation Marcella enrolled at California State University, Sacramento(opens in new window) where she earned her MBA in 2008. She was a member of Delta Sigma Pi, the business Fraternity, and she co-founded the Institutional Investment Society.
Marcella accepted a job as business operations specialist at Wells-Fargo in 2005 while she was taking classes at Sac State. Wells Fargo promoted Marcella to scheduling analyst in 2006.
In 2007 Marcella moved on to GlaxoSmithKline(opens in new window) in Sacramento as a campus consumer consultant at 200 universities in 20 regions.
In 2008 Marcella took a job as inside sales representative for Hewlett-Packard, where she currently works. In 2010 HP promoted Marcella to education consultant and business development manager. She was responsible for creating programs to train and assist in curriculum planning, according to her LinkedIn page. HP promoted Marcella to chief of staff and portfolio planner for master data management in 2013, and employee engagement program manager in 2014.
HPE promoted Marcella two more times before early 2017 when they gave her the position of her current role as chief of staff.
“I report directly to the CIO and drive all the business operations for our organization including financial planning, portfolio management, hiring, communications and general operations,” Marcella stated in a recent email. “A degree in Economics allows me to have the business acumen to be a better partner to our business peers.
