Maria Talpas(opens in new window), who graduated with a BA in Economics with Honors and a BS in Finance in 2011, is a senior acquisitions associate at University Avenue Partners(opens in new window) in San Francisco. The partners are investors from the high-tech community who want to buy properties in the Bay Area for $1 million to $30 million range in order to produce long-term income. Maria began her career with University Avenue Partners in early 2014 as a member of the acquisitions team.

After graduation Maria accepted a job with Marcus and Millichap(opens in new window) Real Estate Investment Services as an associate in Palo Alto, California. She worked there for almost 2 years before moving to her position with University Avenue Partners.

While maintaining her honors standing in Economics, Maria also worked as an analyst for Novasyte Inc.(opens in new window) and as a sales intern for National Ford Truck Club(opens in new window) during her senior year.
