Mark Smallhouse(opens in new window), who graduated cum laude with a BA in Economics and a BS in Finance in 1982, is founding partner at Nevantage Law Group(opens in new window) in Reno, Nevada. After graduation Mark enrolled at the James E. Rogers College of Law(opens in new window) at the University of Arizona. Mark was president of the Knox Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta(opens in new window) before earning his JD with high distinction in 1986.
In 1988 Mark joined Bingham McCutchen(opens in new window), an international law firm in San Jose, California, where he worked for over 2 years as an associate attorney in corporate and real estate law. Mark moved on to another law firm in Los Altos, Myers, Hawley, Myers, and McDonnell(opens in new window), and they added Mark’s name to this “boutique” Silicon Valley firm specializing in start-ups and technology firms.
In 2000 Mark left his Los Altos law firm for Reno, Nevada, where he partnered with another attorney, and they formed Hoy and Smallhouse, LLP. He worked with Hoy for almost two years representing small to medium sized business, commercial real estate developers and contractors.
In 2002 Mark founded his own law firm, Nevantage Law Group, representing entrepreneurs, startups and growth companies in northern California and Nevada.
