Rachel Coulson, who graduated in 2013 with a BA in Journalism and minors in Economics and Business Administration, is an account executive at Cognito(opens in new window). After graduation Rachel went to work as an account manager at Point of View Communications, an advertising, public relations and integrated marketing firm in Valencia, California. She worked very closely with the President/CEO as her executive assistant and was directly responsible for producing content on four client accounts, all of which were based on economic analysis. She ghostwrote a monthly feature article in the Santa Clarita Valley Business Journal(opens in new window) for an independent community bank. Rachel tracked advertising ROI in the San Fernando Valley(opens in new window) and Los Angeles Business Journals(opens in new window) and researched FDIC reports for list rankings in various publications. She also developed and implemented promotion and publicity campaigns for a nonprofit health organization, CPA firms and the Santa Clarita Valley Economic Development Corporation(opens in new window).

In 2014 Rachel accepted a job as publicity associate with KCETLink(opens in new window) in Burbank, California.  Rachel was responsible for press releases and she compiled company reports.  After a year KCETLink promoted Rachel to junior publicist. 

In 2017 Rachel moved to New York, New York, to accept a position as account executive with Cognito where she currently works.  Rachel is “part of a team-oriented global agency whose main focus is advising global financial, professional services and technology companies on communications strategies that connects them with their audiences,” according to her Rachel's LinkedIn(opens in new window) page.
