2019 Best Paper Award of the ECE Division in ASEE – Zahrasadat Alavi and Kathleen Meehan, Enhancing a Control Systems Design Course by Using Experiential Learning Model, California State University, Chico 

The paper describes and assesses the strategies to improve student learning in control system design course by employing a customized version of Kolb’s Experiential Learning Model. To reach this goal, multiple projects and demonstrations were designed to engage students of this course in actual engineering problems to develop their practical engineering skills and to enhance students’ connection with junior level courses.
