How do I turn in a laptop, iClicker, or calculator that I borrowed?

ANSWER: Please contact the EOP office at 530-898-6831, for more information.

How do I drop a class?

ANSWER: Please start by contacting an EOP advisor to help you through the process.

The University has altered its drop process to include a fillable PDF that you may submit electronically.

Fill out the Class Drop Request form (PDF) and send it to your professor from your Chico State email account.

After the professor electronically approves (if appropriate), they forward the form to the department chair who electronically approves (if appropriate), who then forwards it to the Dean or Associate Dean (depending on the college), they send the form to the Registrar’s Office. As of right now, electronic approvals are accepted as substitutes for signatures.

You should then receive an email to confirm the process has been completed and the outcome.

When does registration for spring 2021 classes begin?

ANSWER: For continuing students, course registration for spring 2021 opens October 26, 2020 and continues until November 20, 2020. Make sure you check your Student Center ahead of time for your registration time period and to take care of holds that may prevent registration.

How do I get help with choosing spring 2021 courses?

ANSWER: You can make an appointment to see your EOP parapro, intern, or advisor. Find out who your EOP advisor is and their availabilities on Client Groups page. Connect with your major department advisor. Explore your Degree Progress Report (DPR) through your Student Center. Simply click on the link in the Academics section to open your DPR. The DPR provides access to your academic record and tracks completion of University graduation requirements.

What happens during a zoom meeting?

ANSWER: A Zoom meeting is no different than the previous in-person meetings with an EOP advisor, except for the social distancing. Students would join a Zoom meeting room at the scheduled date and time, and an EOP advisor will check in to see how they are doing, answer questions, and help guide and strategize for academic success and personal development.

Are progress reports sent out? How do students get feedback from them?

ANSWER: EOP progress reports are sent out during the seventh week of the semester on all EOP first-time freshmen and transfer students, and all continuing students with a gpa of below 2.5. If you would like to know how you are doing in your courses and discuss them with an advisor, please make an appointment(opens in new window) with your advisor.
