Emeritus and Retired Faculty and Staff Association

Hall of Honor

Plaques from the 2018 Hall of Honor LuncheonWith leadership and support from the Offices of the President and of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at California State University, Chico, the Emeritus and Retired Faculty Association established the Hall of Honor program in 2010 to recognize the “best of the best” of the University’s retired faculty. The program was expanded the following year to include outstanding retired Chico State staff, becoming the Emeritus and Retired Faculty and Staff Association (ERFSA).

The Hall of Honor is a yearly event where retired and emeritus faculty and staff who were selected by the ERFSA committees for inclusion are formally inducted and get to share their achievements with past and present Chico State peers, as well as with their families and friends.

Hall of Honor inductees have provided numerous years of dedicated service to the University, its students, and its programs, as well as to their own professions. They have also contributed in major ways to the greater Chico community and beyond by serving on boards and advisory councils, and as expert consultants.

Previous honorees can be accessed by year of induction via the menu on the left (Hall of Honor Archive) or on our Inductee list page.

Hall of Honor Event

COVID-19 continues to affect the rescheduling of the Hall of Honor. ERFSA leadership has made the difficult decision to indefinitely postpone the event until it is once again safe to have it on campus. ERFSA and the Office of the Provost will continue to monitor current health and safety conditions and provide updates on the ERFSA website about future developments.
