James "Jim" W. Jessee

Jim Jessee served as Director of Academic Publications, Facilities, and Database Services. He participated in the planning, implementation, and administration of multiple student and academic database management systems. He was the overall planner, editor, and publisher for production of the University Catalog and Class Schedule for over 30 years. He developed the database for automatic production of the University Catalog and Class Schedule for printing and Web display.

Jessee was the principal liaison for Academic Affairs and Facilities Planning, providing all academic and other space planning data needed for minor and major capital projects and Campus Master Planning. This included maintenance of the Space and Facilities Database, which was reputed to be the best maintained in the entire CSU system. 

Mr. Jessee was the Foundation Board Member of CHIP and served on its Board 37 years (20+ years as President). He is a volunteer writer, editor, and publisher for the Association for Northern California Historical Research (ANCHR). Some books he has had a hand in include The Oroville-Quincy Highway, Tales of Ishi County, and an educational title on John Bidwell written for a 5th-8th grade level.
