ESYS is responsible for the design and maintenance of the enterprise computing environment. Design focuses on appropriate growth of new technologies and systems in the computing environment. Maintenance of the computing environment is concerned with the overall health of the servers in production.
In the design process, ESYS is constantly reviewing new and better technologies that can be implemented. The foundation of the design process is to provide high availability and reliability while at the same time keep the same or lowered system costs. As part of the design process, we constantly review the current state of the hardware and what the refresh cycle will look like up to 4 years in the future.
The maintenance process is concerned with day to day system management. This will include the application of operating system patches, system log file / event file review, application monitoring alerts, etc. ESYS strives for 99.99% system uptime.
