Determining Payment Type
Click "Yes" if the research or work primarily benefits the student in a degree-seeking or Teaching Credential program. For example, the student is the primary beneficiary of research training or workshop participation if the focus is on their own professional development in terms of experience and knowledge gained.
Click "No" if the research or work primarily benefits the university/CSE/UF. To determine, one of the following must apply:
- The research or work would need to continue if student stopped research or work
- Research or work directly benefits Chico State (the college or department) or CSE (department or Sponsored Program grant or contract)
- Not every enrolled student in the program is required to perform the research or service
- The payment is contingent upon current or future work performed and not required to earn a degree or class grade
- An employee-employer relationship with Chico State or CSE exists
