CHRS TAE Module Resources
The CHRS Temporary Academic Employment (TAE) Module is used to process appointment data for Unit 3 Faculty and Unit 11 Academic Student Employees. Some key features of TAE include:
- The ability to manage appointment transactions for lecturer and temporary faculty employees, academic student employees, substitute faculty appointments, summer session appointments, PCE appointments, and faculty additional employment appointments
- A PeopleSoft approval workflow that replaces Adobe Sign approval workflows for appointments
- Automatically generated appointment notification letters
- Tracking of current approval status and history of submitted transactions
- Self-Service for Employees to review appointments and complete additional information needed for appointment processing

Upcoming Training
Faculty Affairs has scheduled several CHRS Temporary Academic Employment (TAE) module trainings in the first few weeks after we go live with CHRS. Below is the initial training schedule. These sessions are the first wave, with additional opportunities planned in the spring based on demand, as well as late summer and early fall before the next major appointment cycle. The first workshops will focus on either Instructional Student Assistant (ISA) or Faculty Additional Employment appointments, with a general TAE overview included in both. If you need to enter an appointment in TAE but cannot attend a session, please contact Michael Gonsalves.
