Message from the Director

Welcome to FDEV! I am honored to serve as Director of Faculty Development and to be able to support faculty during such challenging times. Together with the FDEV team and Advisory Board, I am committed to making Faculty Development a welcoming place for all faculty and to create programs that can help faculty navigate the academy successfully. I am determined to advocate for faculty’s well-being and equitable working conditions, by promoting a safe and engaging space to flourish.

Faculty Development has provided me with wonderful opportunities to grow in the Chico State community and has allowed me to establish lasting relations with colleagues in all areas of the University. I love sharing this experience and connections in my role as Director, to expand the support that Faculty Development can provide. Modeling key elements of Universal Design for Learning, it is my goal to facilitate access and increase the types of resources available to the faculty. I am also eager to encourage faculty to participate in our programs through different channels, engagement methods, and modes of expression. I hope you will find our Office to be a strong source of support and inspiration, and I encourage you to explore all the resources, programs, and tools we are proud to offer and promote.
