1st Annual Lecturer Academy

The Office of Faculty Development invites all lecturers to the 1st annual Lecturer Academy. This event is a chance to discuss resources available while showing support and creating a sense of belonging for our lecturers at Chico State! Most of all, this is an occasion to celebrate all that the lecturers contribute to our institution!

Description: This session will focus on understanding the terms of your contract, how to advocate for a salary increase when appropriate, and range elevation eligibility and preparation.

Description: This session will explore opportunities available in faculty development and how these programs can specifically serve lecturers. This includes innovative pedagogy, support preparation for class evaluations, and incorporating equity, diversity, and inclusion into your curriculum.

Description: This session explores how to write an effective narrative in your dossier and the impact the dossier can have on career advancement.  Additionally, did you know that lecturers can apply for sabbatical? Learn about how a good dossier can improve your chances for approval.

Description: Feel like you are being pulled in multiple directions? Or that you are spread too thin to give 100% in all of your undertakings? This session might not offer all of the answers, but we might be able to share our experiences and offer some balancing techniques.
