Electric Vehicles

Chico State University has 50 electric vehicles, including 2 electric motorcycles for UPD. Twenty-nine percent of the campus' total vehicles are electric. The campus follows the SUAM guidelines regarding the purchasing of new vehicles, such as the percentage of light duty vehicles being ZEV, and the light duty vehicles being flex fuel. 

In addition, there are 10 electric vehicle charging stations located at the top of parking structure 2.  They are available to RE (reserved electric) permits only until 5:00 p.m., Mon-Fri. After 5:00 p.m.,  and on the weekends, the chargers are available for free to anyone in the community.
