Multicultural Greek Council (MGC)

The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) is a governing body formed by members of different international, national and regional sororities and fraternities at California State University, Chico. We are a coalition of Greek organizations comprised of diverse, ethnic, and different cultural backgrounds. Through these key aspects we unite to achieve common goals: to further academic excellence, serve the community, and build strong professional leaders for tomorrow. MGC strives to provide support and advocate for the diverse populations on the CSU, Chico campus and the greater surrounding areas.

Multicultural Greek Council Retreat

This program sought to bring together members of each of our 10 multicultural/culturally based Greek organizations in order to build sustainable chapters, inclusive peer-to-peer relationships, and an overall healthy MGC community.

MGC Retreat

Turkey Bowl

Initially established as a response to the 2013 Typhoon in the Phillipines, this canned food drive is geared towared providing support to local charities and surrounding communities. Once a year our recognized MGC chapters join together to play a competitive tournament of flag footbal while also collecting donated canned food items for a good cause.

Prospective Member Development Conference (PMDC)

PMDC is a day long conference where prospective members wishing to join an MGC organization participate in a series of professional development workshops, such as Robert’s Rules of Order, organizational marketing, programming development, and professional etiquette. The goals of the program are to show interested members what it really meant to be a part of a Greek organization and for them to develop a unifying culture from day one.
