Wonderful Winter Wreathing Weekend

Communal Holiday Fun & Purpose

The Friends of the Ahart Herbarium, Gateway Science Museum and Cultivating Place are hosting two spectacular holiday gatherings in the name of native plants, community and science. Please join in supporting these longstanding and much-needed North State institutions. 

All Proceeds to benefit the important work of Chico State's Ahart Herbarium & Gateway Science Museum!  

Join us for A Wonderful Winter Wreathing Weekend with two opportunities to choose from:

Wonderful Winter Wreathing Party

Saturday, December 6 from 5:00-8:00 pm 

Location: Gateway Science Museum, 625 Esplanade

Dress up, come out, sip some bubbly or a seasonal mulled beverage and Make A Difference while making your very own fragrant and gorgeous native plant wreath or sprig.

Enjoy good community, delicious appetizers, lively music, a perfectly themed silent auction, and the opportunity to craft your own fresh, native plant wreath for your holiday home.

Put on your comfy, casual winter garden garb, grab your gloves and clippers and join us once again for plant and holiday loving community and plant-intensive time together crafting our holiday native plants wreaths, for doors or tabletops. The Ahart Herbarium is celebrating many years of this much looked-forward-to gathering - the native plant materials selection is amazing, but the space is limited so register NOW to save your seat. It’s social, it’s festive fun, you’ll learn about our own regional native plants, and in join others to handcraft your very own holiday decorations. You’ll remember why you actually do love the holidays, the plants, and plants people (like those at the Herbarium) doing good work.
