Program Overview

The Gateway Science Museum‘s mission is to create a life-long learning environment that enables people to explore, interpret, and celebrate the magnificent natural history of our region. This is our goal for our visitors, our dedicated staff, and YOU, our amazing volunteers.

When you volunteer at the Gateway Science Museum you give back to the North State community we call home! Community members of all backgrounds serve in a variety of positions, depending on personal interests and the opportunities available at any time. We have a wide variety of enriching and exciting volunteer opportunities, and we welcome volunteers for time-limited projects, such as special events, as well as long-term commitments such as museum curiosity guides.
