Museum Without Walls

Gateway Science Museum hosts Museum Without Walls, also known as MWOW, on Wednesday evenings in April and October. This series began in the fall of 2003, long before Gateway Science Museum was completed in 2010, which is how the series got its name. The series presents lectures with topics related to one or more of the exhibits currently on display at Gateway. MWOW lectures are open to all ages. Details about MWOW.

Climate Change: Butte County Issues

This OLLI speaker series is co-sponsored by the Butte County League of Women Voters and open to the public. Once a month through fall, learn what local actions are being taken in other cities in response to the climate emergency and what is possible for us here in Butte County. This will be a series of presentations on current technologies and local plans already in effect with the goal to end city-wide greenhouse gas emissions. Local representatives will also speak on current discussions for action in Chico. Additional speakers will be joining these lead presenters on the panels for each night. Information about speakers and schedule.  (PDF)
