Requirements for ALL visits by Chico State classes:

1. Visits must be scheduled at least 2 weeks prior to the preferred visit date.
2. The course professor must accompany the class.

Class Visits During Museum Regular Open Hours

If the visit is scheduled during museum regular open hours AND meets the above requirements, entry for all students and professor will be FREE. The group should enter through the museum store and collect wristbands to be worn during visit.

Class Visits Outside of Museum Regular Open Hours

If the visit is scheduled outside of museum regular open hours AND meets the above requirements, the fee requirements will be as follows:

For access to all galleries, including garden:

1. If visit is on a weekday between 8am and 5pm, then the fee is $40 per hour, per class. 
2. If visit is on a weekend or evenings after 5pm, then the fee is $70 per hour, per class.

For access to garden ONLY (includes brief introduction and chairs [optional]):

1. If visit is on a weekday between 8am and 5pm, then the fee is $25 per hour, per class. 
2. If visit is on a weekend or evenings after 5pm, then the fee is $50 per hour, per class.

ALL visits by Chico State classes MUST be scheduled at least 2 weeks prior to the preferred visit date.

In order for a university class to visit the museum without the professor, the class MUST be accompanied by an approved chaperone that has registered for and attended one of Gateway's exhibit orientation sessions. Students visiting independently, whether for class or otherwise, can visit for FREE during our regular open hours.

Classes with over 50 students may require special accommodations or additional staffing. Please notify staff of class size when scheduling.
