Mission Statement

Latitude 39 is a student organization that provides an environment for both academic opportunities and collegial rapport among geography students and anyone else who's interested in maps, GIS, sense of place, and all other geographic topics.  Members are united by the beliefs that they have the ability to change the relationship between human societies and the physical world. 

And what better club name than the geographical position of Chico State at Latitude 39?!!

We are looking for candidates to take the role of President and Treasurer for the Latitude 39 Geography Club 2024-25 Academic Year.  If you enjoy being a leader and meeting other students please contact the current club president, Brandon Maybell(opens in new window), or faculty advisor, Dr. Naomi Lazarus(opens in new window) with a brief statement of interest.
