About the Foundation
Supporting philanthropy. Strengthening Chico State.
The University Foundation helps donors make a lasting impact at Chico State by stewarding gifts and endowments that support students, academic programs, and campus priorities. We connect donors with meaningful giving opportunities and ensure every gift is managed with care, transparency, and respect for donor intent.
Organized and incorporated as a California nonprofit corporation in 1940, the Foundation has supported Chico State for more than 85 years. As a dedicated auxiliary of California State University, Chico and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Foundation receives, invests, and administers gifts that expand opportunities for students, strengthen teaching and research, and enrich the Chico State experience.
A volunteer Board of Governors provides fiduciary oversight, guides endowment management, and helps foster a culture of philanthropy that benefits students, the University, and the communities we serve.
Our Commitment
Every gift entrusted to the University Foundation is managed with integrity and accountability. We are committed to responsible stewardship, strong financial oversight, and transparent reporting so donors can give with confidence, knowing their generosity is creating meaningful opportunities for students today and for generations of Wildcats to come.
