Supporting Dream Scholars

Provides undocumented students support for textbooks and supplies not funded through traditional financial aid. Undocumented students often forgo purchasing textbooks or share one text among a group of peers to leverage limited resources. Simple textbook grants facilitates student savings and allows students to redirect resources to other essential needs.

Lt. Rawlins Merit Scholarship recipient

“As an international student, this award means so much to me. International students usually pay more to attend college in California, and we don’t have many opportunities to work off campus. Plus, as a pre-vet major, I have a lot of schooling still ahead of me.”

Jenessa Ramirez

Jenessa Ramirez, English and history double major
Paradise Merit Scholarship recipient

“I was in awe, to know people who don’t even know who I am are rooting for me. It blew my mind to know that people believed in me. They don’t know if I am going to flunk out tomorrow, but they believe that I can be successful—and that makes me believe in myself.”
