Graduate Equity Fellowship Program

The Graduate Equity Fellowship Program (GEFP) seeks to increase the diversity of students completing graduate degree programs at Chico State, encourages exploration of doctoral degree opportunities, and promotes consideration of university faculty careers. It provides support for students from historically underrepresented groups, including those who have experienced economic disadvantages, restricted access to quality educational opportunities, and underrepresentation in the respective discipline.

Scholarship Opportunities

California State University, Chico, provides merit and scholarship awards to deserving students for graduate studies, and many go unfilled.

Each year the number and size of these awards vary according to annual endowment earnings, contributions to scholarship funds, and applicant qualifications.

Scholarships are provided based on a variety of criteria, including academic merit, financial need, participation in clubs and activities, volunteer and community involvement, major and career goals, etc.
