Immunizations & Vaccines
Chico State prioritizes the health and safety of our campus community by aligning with guidance from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the American College Health Association (ACHA).
Students are required to meet CSU immunization requirements in accordance with California State University policy (Executive Order 803, February 2023).
Immunization Requirements
Who This Applies To
- Undergraduate and graduate students
- Students in self-support programs
- Concurrent enrollment students (K-12)
Required Immunizations
- Hepatitis B (Hep B): 3 doses for students 18 and younger
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR): 2 doses or positive titer
Recommended Immunizations
- Hepatitis B (19+)
- Hepatitis A
- Human papillomavirus (HPV) (up to age 26)
- Influenza (annual)
- Meningococcal (A and B)
- Pneumococcal (if applicable)
- Travel-related vaccines

The following services are available through the WellCat Health Center and are not required unless specified by a program, employer, or healthcare provider.
- TB Testing
Overview
TB testing is available for students who need screening for employment, clinical requirements, or personal health monitoring.
Testing Schedule (Appointment Only)
- Monday: 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
- Tuesday: 9:20 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
- Wednesday: 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
- Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Note: TB tests cannot be placed on Thursdays
What to Expect
The TB skin test (Mantoux) checks for exposure to tuberculosis bacteria. A positive result requires follow-up evaluation.
Process
- Visit 1: Test placement
- Wait 48–72 hours
- Visit 2: Test reading
