Immunization Requirements
CSU Chico prioritizes the health and safety of our students, campus, and community by adhering to immunization guidelines set by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the American College Health Association (ACHA).
CSU Immunization Policy (Executive Order 803, February 2023)
- Undergraduate and graduate students, including those in self-support degree programs and K-12 students in concurrent enrollment courses, entering CSU in or after fall 2023 are subject to the policy.
Required Immunizations:
- Hepatitis B (Hep B): Three doses for students 18 years and younger.
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR): Two doses, with the first dose administered on or after the first birthday, or positive titer.
- Meningococcal B (Meningitis B): A two or three-shot series for students ages 16-23.
Recommended Immunizations:
- Hepatitis B (Hep B): Students who are 19 or older.
- Hepatitis A (Hep A): All students, regardless of age.
- Human papillomavirus (HPV): Men and women up to age 26.
- Influenza (Flu): Recommended annually for all students.
- Meningococcal conjugate (Meningitis): Students up to age 23.
- Pneumococcal: Students with certain medical conditions.
- Immunizations for international travel: Based on destination.
Uploading Immunization Records:
- Students must upload an image or scan of their immunization records to their patient portal. Find the upload link under the "Medical Clearances" tab.
