Immunization Requirements
CSU Chico remains committed to protecting the health and well-being of our students, campus, and community by following the immunization guidelines put forth by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the American College Health Association (ACHA).
The CSU Immunization Policy (Executive Order 803 date February 2023) requires students to obtain the vaccinations and screening recommended for colleges and universities. This policy applies to undergraduate and graduate students, students matriculated in self-support degree programs and K-12 students participating in concurrent enrollment courses entering the California State University (CSU) in or after fall 2023.
Required Immunizations:
- Hepatitis B (Hep B) - three (3) doses for students 18 years and younger.
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) - two (2) doses with first dose given on or after first birthday; positive titer (laboratory evidence of immunity to disease).
- Meningococcal B (Meningitis B) – A two (2) or three (3) shot series (depending on vaccine your healthcare provider recommends) for students ages of 16-23.
Recommended Immunizations
Incoming CSU students are strongly encouraged, but not required, to receive the following immunizations. We encourage students to discuss these with your provider.

| Pneumococcal | Students who have certain medical conditions |
| Immunizations for international travel | Based on destination |
How do I upload my immunization record?
To have their immunization record verified by the WellCat Health Center, students need to upload an image or scan into their patient portal.
