Ahart Herbarium

All of our specimen data, including an increasing number of images of the specimens, are available to the public at one or both of the Consortium of California Herbaria (CCH) web search pages (CCH1 and CCH2).

Consortium of California Herbaria (CCH):
https://ucjeps.berkeley.edu/consortium/index.html

CCH1 contains data for all of the California vascular plant specimens from its 50 member herbaria. This site is tied closely to the Jepson eFlora project (https://ucjeps.berkeley.edu/eflora/), and includes extensive mapping capabilities in general and particularly related to the eFlora. Although the data here for most herbaria is several years out of date, CCH1 will eventually draw its data directly from CCH2, which is the most up-to-date source of Ahart Herbarium data.

CCH2 is where Ahart Herbarium, and many of the other CCH member herbaria, actively curate all of their vascular plant specimen data, and thus is the most up-to-date record of our data. Images of our specimens also appear here soon after they get photographed, which is currently an active on-going process. Importantly, CCH2 also includes all of our non-California vascular plant specimens. Although not actively managed at CCH2, our bryophyte and lichen specimen records may also be queried there. Our extensive myxomycete (slime mold) collection is managed and available at a separate data portal (see below).
