What’s it like to be a student at Chico State?

Being a student at CSUC has been awesome. It is understandably tougher this semester, but from my personal experience, I can say the professors here are on par with some of the best in the country.

What’s been your favorite class at Chico State and why?

My favorite class so far has been Dr. Deforest's History of Ancient Rome. As a historian with an interest in the Classical period, I found Dr. Deforest to be both knowledgeable and entertaining. His enthusiasm for the material clearly shows in his lectures and he has been extremely helpful in answering even the most obscure or obtuse questions I can come up with.

What would be your most important advice for incoming freshman?

To any incoming freshmen I would say this, you don't need to know immediately what you want to do. You will have time to find what you truly love to learn about, everybody moves at their own pace.

What do you plan on doing when you graduate from Chico State?

If all goes as planned, after graduation I will be going to grad school get my masters in Ancient History.
