Cara Huyck grew up in Bakersfield, California, and moved to Chico State in 2016 to earn her degree in Agricultural Business. As a student, she was actively involved in the Housing Department, working as a Resident Advisor, Desk Attendant, and Senior Desk Attendant. These experiences sparked her passion for Higher Education and Residence Life.
After graduation, Cara worked in the housing department at UC San Diego before returning to Chico State in 2022. She currently serves as the Residence Conduct Coordinator for University Village.
Cara is pursuing her Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Project Management, expected to graduate in December 2025. She is committed to supporting Resident Advisors in fostering strong communities and helping residents learn and grow during their time in housing.
In her free time, Cara enjoys competitive games of Skip-Bo, playing volleyball, and reading.
