Emily (she/her) was born in Southern California and raised in the idyllic San Bernardino mountains. She attended and graduated from California State University Long Beach in 2013 where she studied music performance and Chinese. Emily worked as a Resident Advisor and Residence Coordinator during her time at Long Beach and discovered her love of working within housing. Emily then moved to work at Sonoma State as an Assistant Area Coordinator before falling in love with the team of CSU Chico. She worked in University Housing for 6 years before taking on the Senior Coordinator for Conduct and Compliance. In 2023 she graduated with a Masters in Public Administration, realized she was a glutton for punishment, and is pursuing another Masters in Business Administration.
Emily has found her calling in ensuring that students reach their potential to be happy, healthy, and whole. Additionally, she has a passion for social justice and equity work. Emily spends her time with her partner and their beautiful baby boy and can typically be found at Upper Park CrossFit, Barnes and Noble, and her favorite coffee shops.
