Terren Pouncy

Residence Conduct Coordinator

Originating from Moreno Valley, California, Terren Pouncy is a proud Southern California native whose passions include fashion, music, and juicing. Terren began his journey at Chico State in 2015, earning a B.A. in Journalism with a Minor in Marketing in 2019. During his undergraduate years, he became an active member of the campus community through writing for The Orion and working with the Office of Student Conduct, Rights, and Responsibilities, the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs, Tehama Group Communications, and the Center for Healthy Communities.

Terren returned to Chico State as a full-time staff member in July 2021, starting as an Office Coordinator in Human Resources. In November of that year, he transitioned to the Office of Student Conduct, Rights, and Responsibilities as a Student Conduct Advisor—a role that brought him back to a department he once served in as a student. Since January 2023, he has been serving as the Residence Conduct Coordinator within University Housing.

Terren earned his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Higher Education from Sacramento State and is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Education (Ed.D.) in Higher Education and Student Affairs at St. Cloud State University.

In addition to his campus roles, Terren has been actively involved with WACUHO (Western Association of College and University Housing Officers), where he has served as Tri-Chair for the New Professionals Committee and Co-Chair for the Student Development Committee, contributing to the growth and support of housing professionals and students across the region.
