Employee Leave Options

Employees in need of time off for COVID related reasons, and unable to telework, are required to use leave accruals (sick, vacation, CTO) as appropriate to cover their time away. If employees do not have enough leave accruals to cover absences, dock applies after appropriate accruals are exhausted. The university has not been informed of any new paid leave programs for COVID related absences for 2022. Campus will be notified by Human Resources if/when any new COVID related paid leave options are made available.

Employees that have been notified by the campus that they must quarantine because they were exposed to a COVID case at the work site may be eligible for Exclusion Pay prior to using sick leave credits.

Employees should continue to contact the COVID-19 Hotline with any COVID-19-related questions and concerns, and to report COVID-19 positive cases and potential exposures. Chico State’s COVID-19 Hotline can be reached at 530-898-2222.
