Cal Employee Connect (CEC)

Cal Employee Connect (CEC)(opens in new window) is a tool provided by the State Controller's Office (SCO) that allows current and former state employees 24/7, safe and secure access to view their earnings statements (including Direct Deposit Advice - DDA) and W-2s along with personal information. This portal is secure, web-based, and self-serve, allowing remote access from anywhere. CSU, Chico (state) employees can easily register by following the registration steps below.

Register for CEC

  1. Once you have received your first paycheck, you can register for  Cal Employee Connect(opens in new window)
  2. Follow the prompts to register using your personal email account. Information necessary to register for CEC is available in the Chico State Portal on the My Portal tab. You can locate the specific pieces of information in the 'Cal Employee Connect Registration Information' section of your paycheck information including Department, Agency Code, Earnings Statement and Total Deductions.

      1. If you receive an error message about an Invalid Portal Name it likely is a cookie collision. Please try using a different browser.
      2. Click on My Portal tab
      3. Scroll down to the Payroll & Compensation Information in the personal Information section.
      4. Select 'View Paycheck History'
      5. Select 'View Paycheck' for your most recent paycheck

If Using a paper paycheck to register, your 'Earnings Statement Number' is shown as the 'Warrant No'.

Cal Employee Connect (CEC) will ultimately reduce state costs and workload by providing a tool for all state employees to access their information electronically. Please note that this new portal is owned and maintained by the State Controller’s Office and is not part of your PeopleSoft HR/Employee Self Service.
