Auxiliary Organizations

Auxiliary organizations are separate legal entities from California State University, Chico. These organizations were established to support campus operations with certain functions more effectively accomplished by the use of an auxiliary organization. They have their own governing boards, financial structures and personnel operations. As such, auxiliary organization fund sources are not part of the state funding that the campus receives. When the term "state-funded" is used it is a general reference to California State University, Chico operations, whereas the term "auxiliary funded" refers to funding that resides with the auxiliary organizations below.

Associated Students (AS)

Associated Students(opens in new window) is a student-led nonprofit auxiliary of Chico State that enriches the life through programs and services created for students by students. Review the bottom section AS webpage for information on staff, org chart, strategic plan, and annual reports. 

Chico State Enterprises (CSE)

Chico State Enterprises (CSE) oversees funds that departments may need to monitor. Important financial links to know include:

University Foundation (UF)

University Foundation is the steward of gifts and endowments for the entire campus. This may include funds that departments may help oversee like gifts to departments or major-specific scholarships. University Foundation is facilitated in a joint effort by University Advancement, who oversees fundraising activity, and Chico State Enterprises, who processes funds received and disbursed for UF related activity.
