Latinx Equity and Success (LEQX) leads and supports initiatives that advance the success of the Latinx campus community and strengthen Chico State’s role as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI). As part of the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (OEDI), LEQX provides leadership, coordination, consultation, strategic planning, and communication to achieve these goals.
Much of this work is carried out in collaboration with campus leaders, departments, programs, and strategic partners who share a commitment to equity and student success. Together, we cultivate a campus environment that produces equitable outcomes and is educationally affirming, culturally responsive, and welcoming.
Chico State’s commitment to Latinx student success and our progress as an HSI are not merely institutional goals—they are a shared responsibility. Guided by intentional servingness and a collective dedication to accountability, our administrators, faculty, and staff actively remove barriers, expand opportunities, and create a campus where every student can thrive.
