Public Lecture: Jeffrey Cohen, “Noah’s Arkive: Utopia, Failure and Climate Change”

Jeffrey Cohen is Dean of Humanities at Arizona State University and co-president of the Association for the Study of Literature and the Environment. Cohen is the author of Stone: An Ecology of the Inhuman which received the 2017 René Wellek Prize for best book from the American Comparative Literature Association. Earth, co-written with Lindy Elkins-Tanton, offers a re-examination of the planet from the perspectives of a planetary scientist and a literary humanist and his current project, co-written with Julian Yates is Noah's Arkive: Towards an Ecology of Refuge
