The CSU, Chico Geochemistry Research Group maintains a PerkinElmer NexION 2000 Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS). The facility is open to CSU Chico students, faculty, and staff, as well as off-campus users.

Funding for the instrument was provided through a grant from the National Science Foundation - EAR-IF 1826807

The facility is managed by staff and faculty of the College of Natural Sciences, and is located in the SCIENCE (SCI) Building, room 343.
