Welcome to Founders Week, an annual celebration of CSU, Chico’s history of excellence and a time to honor the students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends who make the University great. Founders Week traces its roots back to 1909, when Charter Day was first held to remember the early days of the Chico Normal School and to memorialize John Bidwell and deceased members of the faculty.

A number of special events are held this week to pay tribute to the award-winning members of our campus community. The events listed below highlight the leadership, service, and accomplishments of many of those individuals. Founders Week also includes a wonderful array of arts, athletics, and scholarly events. A complete list of events may be found at www.csuchico.edu/pa/founders-week.
